TGIF! We’ll enjoy a sunny Friday before we head into a stormy weekend across central Illinois. More than one round of showers and storms is possible on Saturday and Sunday, perhaps becoming severe at times. Typical of mid-summer severe thunderstorm risks, we won’t have great confidence on timing and impacts until we get a bit closer. For now, models suggest a mid-day round of storms on Saturday with a potential late-evening round 2. Similarly on Sunday, more than one round of storms is possible through the day and into the night. A hot, muggy, periodically stormy pattern builds across the area next week.
